2026

Opening 10th of January 2026
Runs until 14th of March.

As a reference to the workings of the free market, the exhibition turns to playmobil®*, the heavily patented children's toy. The exhibition features sculptures that are accurate, scaled-up replicas of playmobil accessories including handcuffs, interchangeable hairstyles, a police hat, and a vest. As exact replicas of the original playmobil accessories, the sculptures bear the signs of the injection molding technology used in the mass production of the items, such as ejection and injection marks. The exhibition showcases the artist's approach to product design as social sculpture, where he plays with the societal norms and stereotypes that playmobil reproduces,in order to examine the aesthetics of authority.

The exhibition is accompanied by a new textual contribution by Jon Atli Jonasson.
